Frequently asked questions
What gas connection does the Atosa ATCB-24 need?
It needs a gas line to a 3/4" NPT connection at the rear, and the pressure regulator is included. It comes set up for natural gas, with the regulator factory set at 4" W.C. For LP, the regulator is set at 10" W.C. Gas hookup should be done by a licensed installer following local code, or the National Fuel Gas Code (ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54) where there is no local code.
Can the ATCB-24 run on propane?
Yes. An LP conversion kit comes with the unit. On LP it keeps the same 35,000 BTU per burner and 70,000 BTU total, using #50 orifices in place of the #36 natural gas orifices.
Where can the ATCB-24 be installed?
It must sit on a level, solid, noncombustible countertop under a commercial exhaust hood that meets local code. The operating instructions call for at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance. Keep air flowing freely under the unit, and do not aim fans or air conditioning at the burner flames.
Will it fit through a standard doorway?
Yes. At 27-3/5" deep and 24" wide, it fits through a 36" doorway either way. At 15-1/5" high, height is not an issue.
What certifications does the ATCB-24 have?
It is cETLus listed for gas safety in the US and Canada, and ETL Sanitation listed to NSF/ANSI Standard 4, the sanitation standard for commercial cooking equipment. These are the listings health and building inspectors usually look for when they approve a commercial kitchen.
What warranty comes with the ATCB-24?
Atosa gives a 1-year parts and labor warranty, starting the day Atosa ships the unit. It covers defects in materials or workmanship in gas components such as the cast iron grates, stainless steel radiants and briquettes. Labor covers standard straight-time rates and reasonable travel time. The warranty does not cover alteration, neglect, abuse, misuse, accident, damage during transit or installation, fire, flood, acts of God, or food or product spoilage. Only the original purchaser is covered. Make claims directly to Atosa with the model number, serial number and proof of purchase.
How does the ATCB-24 compare with other Atosa charbroilers?
The ATCB-36 and ATCB-48 are the same char-rock design in 36" and 48" widths. The ATCB-36 has 3 burners for 105,000 BTU, and the ATCB-48 has 4 burners for 140,000 BTU. The ATRC-24 is also 24" wide with two 35,000 BTU burners and stainless steel radiant plates, but it is sold as a radiant charbroiler and does not list lava briquettes among its standard features.
Does it ship free, and how is it delivered?
Yes, this model ships free. It ships on a pallet by freight truck. A lift gate fee applies to large items like this one if you don't have a loading dock and is calculated at checkout.
