Frequently asked questions
What outlet does the Atosa ACEF-32 need?
You need two 208 to 240V single-phase NEMA 6-20R receptacles, one for each tank's 6-20P plug. Each tank draws 14 A at 208V or 15.1 A at 240V. It will not run on a standard 120V outlet. Have your electrician confirm your circuits before installing.
Can I run the two tanks at different temperatures?
Yes. Each tank has its own element, thermostat and power cord, so you can set each one anywhere from 70°F to 375°F and use them separately. That keeps flavors like fish and fries apart.
How much oil does it hold?
It holds 32 lb of oil in total, 16 lb in each tank. It comes with two nickel-plated baskets, one per tank, each about 8-7/16" by 7-7/8" by 5-7/8".
Does it make a difference whether I run it on 208V or 240V?
Yes. Each element is rated 3.8 kW at 240V but only 2.9 kW at 208V, so heat-up and recovery are slower on 208V. Check your building's supply voltage before you choose a fryer.
What certifications does the ACEF-32 have?
It is cETLus listed for electrical safety in the US and Canada, and ETL Sanitation listed to NSF/ANSI Standard 4 for commercial cooking equipment. Health inspectors and fire marshals generally look for both in a commercial kitchen.
What warranty comes with it?
Atosa covers it for 1 year parts and labor against defects in materials and workmanship, starting on the date it ships from Atosa. Labor coverage is standard straight-time labor plus reasonable travel time, as determined by Atosa. The warranty does not cover alteration, neglect, abuse, misuse, accident, damage during transit or installation, fire, flood or acts of God. It is not valid outside the continental United States. To make a claim you need the model number, serial number and proof of purchase.
How does the ACEF-32 compare with the ACEF-16 and ACEF-10?
The ACEF-16 is the single-tank version: one 16 lb tank, one element rated 2.9 to 3.8 kW on 208 to 240V, one NEMA 6-20P plug, and about 11-1/4" wide. The ACEF-10 has a single 10 lb tank and runs on 120V at 1.7 kW and 14.2 A with a NEMA 5-20P plug. It is 11-1/4" wide by 18-1/2" deep by 15-3/8" high. The ACEF-32 is the only one in the line with two tanks.
How do I clean it?
Unplug the fryer and let the oil cool. Then lift the swing-up element and control box on each side and take the tank out to wash it. Wipe the stainless steel surfaces daily so grease doesn't build up.
Does it ship free, and how is it delivered?
Yes, this model ships free. It ships on a pallet by freight truck. A lift gate fee applies to large items like this one if you don't have a loading dock and is calculated at checkout.
