It needs a standard grounded 120 V outlet that accepts a NEMA 5-15P plug. The unit draws 13 A at 1550 W, so on a 15 A circuit there is little room left for other high-draw appliances. The cord comes out at the bottom rear of the unit.

How much rice does it cook?

It cooks up to 30 cups of uncooked rice, measured with the included measuring cup, which yields up to 60 cups cooked. Fill water to the matching number on the inner pot's level markings, and do not load more than 30 cups.

How long will it keep rice warm?

It holds rice for up to 6 hours. The unit switches to keep warm automatically when cooking ends. Winco recommends leaving the lid closed for 15 minutes after the switch so the rice can rest, and not holding rice longer than 6 hours.

How much counter space and clearance does it need?

Both cook 30 cups uncooked (60 cooked) on 120 V, 1550 W, but the RC-S301 has a hinged, latching lid and holds rice warm for up to 6 hours. The RC-P301 has a lift-off cover and holds rice warm for up to 2 hours. The RC-P301 also takes more counter space, at 19-7/8" wide by 17-1/2" deep by 13-3/8" high.

How should the inner pot be cleaned and handled?

The non-stick inner pot lifts out for cleaning. Serve with plastic or wooden utensils, such as the included paddle, because metal utensils can damage the non-stick coating. Dry the outside of the pot before putting it back in the cooker.
