Frequently asked questions
What gas connection does the Atosa ATRC-36 need?
It connects at the rear through a 3/4" NPT fitting, and the gas pressure regulator comes with it. Inlet pressure is 4" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for LP. It uses manual valves and standby pilots, so it needs no electrical outlet. Atosa calls for a qualified technician to do the installation and any gas conversion, following local codes.
Can it run on propane?
Yes. The ATRC-36 is rated for both natural gas and LP. Output is the same 105,000 BTU on either gas. Tell us which gas your kitchen uses when you order.
How big is the cooking surface?
The cooking area is 35.7" wide by 20.2" deep, split into three 12" zones that you control separately. You can sear on one zone while running lower heat on another.
Will it fit on my counter or equipment stand?
The unit takes up 36" of width and 27.6" of depth, and it stands 15.2" high. It is designed to sit on a counter, equipment stand or chef base that can carry its 159 lb net weight. At 27.6" deep it goes through a standard 36" doorway easily.
What certifications does it have?
It is cETLus listed and ETL-Sanitation listed. cETLus means Intertek has tested it to U.S. and Canadian gas appliance safety standards. ETL-Sanitation means it meets NSF/ANSI sanitation standards for commercial food equipment, which health inspectors look for.
What warranty comes with it?
Atosa covers the ATRC-36 for one year, parts and labor, starting from the date it ships from Atosa. The warranty covers gas components such as the cast iron grates and stainless steel radiants against defects in materials or workmanship. Labor is paid at standard straight-time rates plus reasonable travel time. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred. It does not cover damage from alteration, neglect, misuse, accident, shipping, improper installation, fire, flood or acts of God. It also excludes food spoilage and other consequential losses, and it applies only within the continental United States.
How does the ATRC-36 compare with the ATRC-24, ATRC-48 and ATCB-36?
All four use the same 35,000 BTU burners and cast iron grates. The ATRC-24 is 24" wide with two burners and 70,000 BTU. The ATRC-48 is 48" wide with four burners, 140,000 BTU and a 47.9" by 20.2" cooking area. The ATCB-36 matches the ATRC-36 in width and BTU but cooks over lava briquettes instead of stainless steel radiants.
Does it ship free, and how is it delivered?
Yes, this model ships free. It ships on a pallet by freight truck. A lift gate fee applies to large items like this one if you don't have a loading dock and is calculated at checkout.
